Primetimers is a group geared for Senior Citizens (generally 55+) and/or Retirees of all ages. They meet the 2nd Friday of each month at 12 noon at Rejoice Fellowship Hall. Meetings are generally 90 minutes including a scrumptious lunch, fellowship and a program or activity. Members take turns planning each month’s meeting, program, menu and passing a sign-up sheet for volunteers to help out the next month.

Sew n Sews
Have you been fascinated by people who can sew? Join us on Thursdays at 10:00am for lessons. Learn to make a project for yourself or others. Skilled "sewists" (sewer/artist) will be available to teach and partner with you. No experience needed. Materials will be provided.
The Sew and Sews work on projects that can be donated to people in need accross the world such as 32 pillow case dresses for little girls. We also sew quilts, we work with Lutherans and partners worldwide to end poverty, injustice and human suffering. Each Palm Sunday the quilts are spread throughout the Sanctuary, blessed, and shipped off to be distributed by Lutheran World Relief.
Ladies Bible Study
A group of women that gather together to study the Bible. By doing this, they automatically share something in common. The leading motivation to attend a women’s Bible study is to spend time with other Christian women. Learning more about God and the Bible followed close behind. Wonderful relationships have been built in this Bible Study group and lively discussions are experienced in any given Wednesday morning. It sounds simple but sometimes it gets complicated. The group meets every Wednesday morning at 11:00 am via Zoom.
Currently the group is focusing on WOMEN OF THE BIBLE. Topics are:
Sarah and Hannah
Women of the Well
Mary, Mother of Jesus
For more information, contact Joslyn at 972-724-2323.
We’re always looking for women to join our group.
Bunco is a social dice game, traditionally played with 12 players who are divided into three tables with four players at each table. But really, almost any number can play. At the end of every round, players change partners and/or tables. At the end of a game, there are typically multiple “winners.” The player(s) with the most Buncos, wins, losses, etc, may earn prizes for their successes.
LitWits Book Club
The LitWits book club is a reading group, usually consisting of a around 13 people who read and talk about books based on a topic chosen by each member. All members read the chosen book and discuss it at their monthly Book Club meeting. All are welcome! We meet in each person’s home or a designated area to discuss the book. The group meets once a month, the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.
Our Care Team offers comfort to members who are ill, who are dealing with the loss of a loved one or who are just going through a tough time. The Care Team makes hospital visits, check up phone calls, takes communion to people who can’t get out, and prays for these people. The Care Team also has a meal ministry that provides several meals to people or families when they are in a time of need.
The Holy Smokers are the official bar-b-q team for Rejoice. We have quarterly fundraisers to cook for the congregation. We are also starting to get involved in cooking for the community as well. This includes the yearly Pet Blessing, Briarwood Cooking For Christ, Oktoberfest, and other events when Rejoice requests us to cook. During these events it is important to have men’s bible study while cooking.
