Community Outreach

Rejoice members minister to the needs of our community and surrounding communities through a variety of programs and in partnership with other community organizations. A wide range of opportunities are available to share our time, talent and blessings. Listed below are a few of those opportunities.

Pumpkin Patch


Each October, the back lawn of Rejoice is transformed into a fall celebration of pumpkins, corn, gourds, hay bales and scarecrows – all for sale to the community. The proceeds benefit many community outreach ministries. Click on the title, Pumpkin Patch, for more details.

Starfish Mission

Rejoice’s Starfish Mission – in cooperation with the not-for-profit organization Arrow Outreach is a ministry which supports poor people in the Ciudad Juárez, Mexico area through Outreach Programs. Some Outreach Programs are: Starfish Scholarship Program, Feeding the Poor, Medical Care for Seniors, Operation of a Day Care Center, Operation of an Orphanage Home, Computer Classes, Sewing Classes, Annual Christmas Parties, Children’s Summer Camps to name a few. These activities are complimented through annual Starfish Mission trips to Juárez.

Angel Food Pantry

Benefits local food pantry at Metrocrest Social Services. An Angel Food Pantry receptacle is permanently located in the Narthex to receive donations of food each Sunday to supplement Metrocrest’s Food Pantry in Carrollton.

Food Drives

Food is collected at different times of the year for distribution through Metrocrest Social Service Center and Christian Community Action.

Mosaic is a social ministry of the ELCA and is one of the largest faith-based organizations serving people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in the country. In partnership with people who have disabilities, Mosaic provides a meaningful life, in a caring community giving a voice to people’s needs. Mosaic was founded in 1913 and has been serving and advocating for people with intellectual disabilities in Dallas since 1986 – Mosaic in Dallas.
